Ownership in your company, your brands and your work is extremely important. That is why we’re proud to say that each and every one of our employees is an owner. In 2003, Country Maid became a 100% employee-owned company when founders, Ken and Marlene Banwart, transitioned out of the role of company owners. The Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) was an attractive way of business continuation that passed on the business to the people that cared most, Country Maid employees.
The ESOP gives each employee an opportunity to share equity ownership of Country Maid. The better our employees perform, the better the company performs. This helps to increase the value of the company and, therefore, each employee's share of the company. Creation of the ESOP has resulted in a company of engaged employee-owners.
